Odd peeing!

I have had my cat for over a year now and she is much much better about inappropriate peeing.  She uses her box at night and goes in the garden during the day.  I am moving next month and she will have to learn a new house and will also be restricted to being in the lanai during the day, but we will work it out.  She is odd though, she pees like a boy, always standing up when she is outside (in her box she crouches like she is supposed to ).  Anyone have any idea what causes this??

My Scarlett always stands when she pees. She's an indoor only cat so does this in a litter box. I have no idea why she has this preference, but it has prompted me to use nothing but tall sided boxes for litter pans. All my boys squat.
