I've had my cat since she was a kitten, which is about 2 years now. We found her after she was thrown from a car in front of us (Along with her sister two day's later, who was taken to a cat sanctuary and adopted out a year later.)
She's always been lovey, wanting in our laps, sleeping with us, ect. We've kept her indoors, along with our other female cat who we adopted a year later. Since they were never allowed out we delayed getting them fixed. (I know, our first mistake.)
3-4 Weeks ago, we left on a trip with family, and at some point Yuki got out of the house while we packing the car, and was locked out. We had no idea she was missing till we returned a day later. Three, four days went by and she finally showed back up, with a few scratches on her nose. It's safe to assume she's mated.
We've been leaving food out 24/7 for her, and keeping a close eye on her, but today she's been really grumpy! She's never been an aggressive cat. In fact now that shes trying, she really sucks at, it to be honest. Just a lot of protesting to be held, meowing (Meowing, not yowling. She's not acting like shes in heat) and grumpy half hearted growls.
This isn't like my baby at all! I've been lurking around the net a bit and haven't found much on the topic. Some stuff about females being agressive to other cats, but Yuki is getting along just fine with our other female. It's just when we pick her up, or try to hold her she gets annoyed.
So has anyone else experienced this?
