this is so similar to mine - start with a Duncan Hines chewy brownie mix.use salted butter for the fat instead of oil, add 1/2 cup cocoa, 1 cup dark chocolate chips, 1 cup butterscotch chips. (i don't use nuts because others in my family dislike them!). makes a dark chocolate, chewy brownie with little butterscotch chunks!Originally Posted by Sweets

I add about a cup of chocolate morsels and 1/2 cup of nuts to the mix, then I sprinkle another cup of morsels and 1/2 cup of chopped nuts on top right after I take the pan out of the oven. The morsels melt and adhere the nuts to the brownies. I've taken first prize in a bake-off using this recipe. I've also experimented with butterscotch morsels and peanut butter morsels
depends on the nut for me, too, as i'm allergic to almonds. but love pecans, macadamias, walnuts, filbers/hazelnuts...Originally Posted by gemlady
