Lucky has bald patches on his feet. It started just after the food change. I thought the arrival of Benson a month after the food was the cause but maybe I am off on the timing.
I think symptoms will help them make a decision....so still on track.Originally Posted by sharky

Whoa, my cat has had colitis for two months, since I switched him from the Nutro Natural Choice Indoor to the Nutro Natural Choice Indoor Weight Management. We've been looking for every possible solution, and Flagyl was given but didn't help. I was starting to suspect the Weight Management food; but I had studied the ingredients and they looked so similar to the regular food, I doubted whether it could be the cause. I also noticed that the Weight Management pieces were much harder, and thought maybe that was it... that the hard bits were irritating his digestive system.
It sounds like you guys may have solved my problem.
He doesn't exhibit any other symptoms of a food allergy, though. No scratching, etc.
From what you know, would it be all right to switch him back to the non-weight management Nutro Indoor? I'm a bit confused, since the regular Indoor also contains the soy concentrate, and he was regular and colitis-free on the regular Indoor.
Also, the Weight Management food made him go from slightly overweight back to a perfect weight. Maybe I could try the Nutro Max Cat Lite instead. If I know that soy is the problem, I can just look for that and avoid it.
He he about the pieces /// My vet and I actually had a chat about that ... as like my Zoey she also has one eating nutro due to the sharpe of the kibbleOriginally Posted by trixie23
I recently just took both of my cats off of Nutro! I wanted to try the Wellness line! My cats loved Nutro!!!! I had my overweight cat on Nutro Natural Choice Weight Management Indoor Formula and he adored the big crunchy pieces! Did he loose weight? NO... He is quite active and limited to portioned meals and no results! Am I bitter? No he is only 3 pounds overweight! I had my kitten on Nutro Max Cat Kitten and recently switched her to Wellness! I am going for a wet/dry food combination right now (hopefully in the future a wet food only) therefor I've been playing around with my options! As for the hairball formula Im unfamiliar... my cats almost never have hairball issues! I dont see any major issues with the line but I wanted something of better quality (personal preference and opinion)! Best of Luck! Now my overweight bugger is on Wellness Healthy Weight dry (he wont touch wet food) and he is having a hard transition since Nutro pieces are huge and Wellness pieces are teeny tiny!
They always want what they can't have, don't they? I wonder if I purposely put the wrong food in front of each cat, if they would all eat what was intended for them.Originally Posted by trixie23
I know my tiger loved his Nutro but it isnt doing anything for him (weight wise) so I decided to experiment with something else... My kitten actually loved eating the Nutro Weight Management more then her Nutro kitten! I was shocked that she could handle such hearty and big pieces of food... What a champ!
