Notification alert won't dissappear after tapping it:

However there's one other thing to try.
Go to the alerts drop down box, go to 'show all' in the bottom left hand corner, there's a big heading at the top that gives three options:
ALERT PREFERENCES RESUMMARIZE ALERTS MARK ALL AS READ
Click on the last one and see if it does the trick.

All news to me,I have 180 alerts and have no idea what it even means so I just click on the bell to see what I might've missed...... I didn't know the number is supposed to disappear and I think it might give me a headache to try

Does it matter,what's the benefit in clearing it- is there something very simple to do that even I could understand how to do it because I'm so good at this stuff
