I just have a question about my cat Tobie. He is about 7 months old...and has been good about using his litter box up til about a month ago. He started pooping outside his litter box in the basement. (we have 2 litter boxes because we have 2 cats) he is going on the unfinished part of the basement. The owners before us had 2 cats that were always in the basement, so I thought maybe is just smelled them...and I have been cleaning up after him. He has only done it a few times upstairs. Then the other morning my fiance and I were getting ready for work and Tobie looked in his litter box in the hallway...came into the bedroom and pee'ed right on my fiance's Steeler Jersey (that he didnt pick up from the night before)
I asked people at work, and they told me when I got home to press on Tobies tummy to make sure that it wasnt hard or that he didnt show any discomfort for a bladder infection, Tobie is over weight for being only 7 months, but he isnt showing any signs of anything, he is fine....his bad little self. He hasnt pee'ed outside the litter boxes since then. Could it be because there was a piece of clothing on the floor that he wasnt used to or should I just make him a vet appointment to be on the safe side?
Any ideas???????
Thanks,
Nikki
