Nose Discoloration

Anyone ever see something like this? He has recently gotten access to a room other cats were in and is obsessed with rubbing on a workout bench in there, so hypothesizing hes rubbing his nose on it?

How old? (The cat and the problem.) My cat had something similar and the vet thought it might be squamous cell carcinoma but the biopsy showed just chronic inflammation. It resolved on it’s own.

Yeah hes about 3 and it appeared rapidly over week or so.

Is it crusty? Then I’d go with trauma. Otherwise have it checked out sometime soon.
