Hey guys! How are you and your kitties doing? Well, it's the tail-end (pun unintended, lol) of summer, and for my household that means fleas. (Because February is usually the hottest month) I bombed my house as a precaution, and used Frontline to treat my 3 indoor cats. It's been about 5 days, and my cats still have their fleas. It annoys the hell out of me, as it looks like Frontline is a dud. 66 bucks down the drain! I usually use Advantage and that always works a treat. I'll go out and buy it when I can, but in the meantime, I was wondering if there's any way to help my poor cats with a DIY treatment, and if they really work or not. Over the years, I've heard things like that coconut oil when applied topically can help, as can adding a little bit of garlic to their dinners. What are your thoughts? Is there anyone out there that holistically treats their cats for fleas? Does it work, or is it all just hogwash?
As a note, I have never used any of these methods on my cats, as I'm certain that some of them can be very bad for their health, and that I WILL be going to get more flea stuff regardless, it's just that, I won't be able to do so until the end of the week, so I wanted to know if there was something I could do at home to help until then. Thanks for reading! Have the best day!
