I think some of that has to do with the fact that animal people in general, and cat people in particular, are willing to love unreservedly while expecting little in return...and because of our willingness, we receive far more than we could ever have hoped. A rescue group I really like - Justice Rescue
Their saying is " it's not about the toes we step on , it's about the paws we protect "
I always like that. Animals don't have a voice, they only have us to speak for them

The first kitten I only took it in because it was at my dirty plant
It's funny, I truly didn't know what to expect
I took the little girl home in a box to my wife.
I slowly opened it , and said to her " Careful I don't know how this will go "

Little Abbie looked up at us, and we fell in love

Cats reallu are awsome and special animals - I didn't have any idea for the first 40 years of life
