Good day all. My neighbor has recently rescued 3 cats from a bad situation. A female tabby, a female Persian and a male Maine coon who is double the size of both of the girls. The tabby just gave birth yesterday after 2 weeks in her new home to 7 kittens one of whom has paws that have been balled up since birth. All of the kittens are polydactyl and the paws are huge but these ones are just different. My neighbor will be taking mom and babies into the vet this weekend to be seen but we are looking for any insight in the mean time. The male Maine coon has already been fixed and both females are soon to follow.

Yes, starting now, the paws should be taped and splinted while the tendons are malleable, and over the next few weeks, the paws should straighten to normal position. This is caused by a kitten being squished in the uterus.

Here is a helpful link that will guide you:
Contracted Tendons of the Front Legs: Twister's Story

Disregard the fundraising aspect, but read through the entire article.

Let us know the kitten’s progress!
