Hi everyone, the names Alex. I have a question regarding my 6 month old bengal, he has had all his shots and was neutered last friday (Sept31st) and has been happy as can be since with no change in his attitude or usual routine throughout the day. On friday (oct5th) i woke up to a pile of vomit and some diarrhea outside his litter box. He was very quiet all morning just sitting and staring or sleeping, around 12 he awoke and drank a bunch of water just to throw it up about 15 min later but it was all liquid. I had made an appointment at the vet for today ( saturday morning ) but i awoke to his usual crying and jumping at my feet while i sleep so i ended up cancelling it thinking he was back to normal and it was just a quick stomach bug . He is on a raw food diet (boldraw is the brand) and my thought were the night before i had put out both cats chicken but neither ate any, when I woke up that friday morning both dishes were empty and I'm quite positive the bengal had eaten both and this could have been the reason he had thrown up and had diarrhea? When i awoke to him playing on saturday and i went to give them their food the bengal was all about wanting some but when i put it down he gaged and wanted nothing to do with the food that he would usually devour then push the other cat out of the way to eat his as well. I then went to pet store to get some regular canned wet food and when i offered him that he ate a good part of the serving i gave him. I guess my question is can cats catch the flue or could something have been wrong with that batch of raw food? The other cat did eat some both days although not much but had no other symptoms like the bengal. any advice would be greatly appreciated as it is a long weekend and all vets are now closed, he hasn't had any problems since but no appetite and just wants to sleep.
Thanks everyone
Alex
