Hello from Ohio!
Sarah came into my life on St. Valentine's Day Eve, 2003. I came home from work very late on a harsh winter's night. When I got out of my car, everything was very quiet - and then I heard a faint "meow." I followed it and found a little tabby and white kitten half-frozen in a snowbank in the churchyard behind my house. I brought her in, put her on a warm blanket, ran back out to the car to get the kitty litter that I kept for getting traction on snow, came back in, found a can of tuna - and the rest, as they say, is history.
It's a good thing that I found her when I did. Two days later, the President's Day blizzard hit our town with over a foot of snow.
Sarah's an indoor cat now, only going out to the vet or when she goes to work with me.
Something did happen to her before I found her. She is horribly afraid of men. And when I groom her (a real necessity for a long-haired cat), it still has to be in small doses.
She's a very sweet little girl.
Looking forward to reading about your cats!
