Adopted 2 ~ what we, & the vet thought were sisters back in May from an elderly couple that basically rescued the mother cat & a litter of 4 last March. During a bad storm the mother cat scratched at their door with a kitten in her mouth. They let her & the kitten in. She went back to the door wanting out and they took a chance & let her out. She returned repeatedly bringing another kitten back with her each time until a total of 4 was safely inside the house. The mother cat was an amazing mother and the couple were angels taking her & the kittens in. We had never had cats before, always preferring dogs. When I seen the ad the couple had placed trying to find a home for the mother cat & her babies, I knew it was something I had to do. After my daughter & I met the mother cat & all 4 of her babies, we fell in love with a white one (Matilda) & a white one with orange on top of her head and a perfect shaped orange heart spot on her side (Peaches). The couple found homes for the mother & the remaining 2 orange kittens. Peaches & Matilda now are approximately 6 months old & we are blessed. Matilda, my son in law discovered recently is actually a boy. Surprised everyone including our vet and recently performed the surgery for a umbilical hernia & neuter. Next Peaches will have the same surgery for a umbilical hernia & spay. So happy I found this cat forum to learn from & share the joy our cats have brought to us.
