New to this site but not to cats

Hi,

My name is Christie and I am new here.  I just adopted a sweet little female calico that is 7 months old the other day.  I used to have a male tabby cat but he passed at the age of 12 last Thanksgiving.  I waited almost a year until I got my current cat.  I miss my male tabby so much but I thought it time to get a new cat.  I have already posted my first question about my new cat.  I hope to learn from everyone here about my new little girl.

First, let me say that I'm sorry for your loss of your tabby boy but I'm glad you felt ready to open your heart and home to a new kitty in need of a home [emoji]10084[/emoji]️
I'm glad you found us...please feel free to as questions and share photos of your new girl (hint, hint).
There is also a section of the forum called Crossing The Bridge where you can write a tribute to your boy who has passed on so that we may all get to know him as well.
