Well, I found this site a little earlier this week and posted in the health forum, so now I'll introduce myself without the hurried chaos of having a sick baby!
I'm Kellie, and my husband Cliff and I have two babies: Albert, a two and a half year old orange tabby. He's a momma's boy. He has such a personality! He's always got something to say, and he'll be sure and tell you all about it until he gets his point across. But other times he'll just *stretch* up on me until I bend down and lift him up onto my shoulder. He'll sit up there and love on me and rub his head on me and chirp and talk and just have a great time. He's such a sweet boy.
We also have a tortie named Cleo. We adopted her from our vet back in Colorado after someone put her and her mom into a box, went to the office and waited until no one was looking, then threw them inside and took off. We saw her when we went in for a check up on Albert and absolutely fell in love with her. So we filled out the adoption papers, and the rest is history. She was about 8 weeks old when we brought her home and she was very skiddish. She still responds with a hiss when things catch her off guard. It's quite cute. She's so energetic and bossy, it's adorable. She'll steal Albert's food or toys or whatever she can, and he'll just look at me as if to say, "Mom! She's doing it again!!!" She's not one to be held, but she loves to have bodily contact, whether she's rubbing all over your leg, hand, foot, basically whatever she can manage. She's such a sweet girl, and we're so happy to have her.
My husband and I are huge animal lovers, and we plan to rescue as many as we can manage once we move into something a little larger than this shoebox we're in now. In the meantime, we're a happy little family.
