Hello everyone.
My name is Reti and I live in Miami, Fl, with my fout cats, several pet pigeons (I am a pigeon rescuer), a bunny and a turtle.
I was always fascinated by cats, I used to feed the stays back in Europe, but never actually lived with one until my late twenties when I started taking stry cats and dogs in.
I moved to Miami nine years ago and I adopted my fist cat Chelsea four years ago. She was a rescue with the CatNetwork.
I kept on seeing Chelsea week after week locked up in a cage in the pet store. She is a calico tabby, age unknown. I asked the girl in the store why nobody wants to adopt her and she told me that Chelsea bites. So, I felt so bad for this poor kitty and I figured me and my husband will be able to handle her and we gave it a shot and adopted Chelsea.
In the beginning she did bite us and hissed at us every chance she got.
She hasn't done that for three years now and she is very sweet and loving in her own way, she tolerates us handling her and she even tolerates our other cats (we were told she has to be an only cat).
Johnny Cat was found in our parking lot a year and half ago. He is forever greatful we gave him a home, very sweet and loving. He has a great personality and can be very funny.
Moki, Tiger, a bunny and nine birds, were rescued two months ago from a home with many cats, dogs, birds, the lady was being evicted and threw her pets in the street.
Moki and Tiger are 5-6 months old, very sweet, very loving. They love to play, eat and cuddle.
I had them spayed/neutered, dewormed and vaccinated and we are still working on getting rid of the ear mites.
I am glad I found this forum and thank you for letting me join.
