New kitty trying to nurse on older male cat

I have a 6 yr old fixed male cat. I just got an 8 wk old male kitten who is constantly trying to nurse on my older cat. And he lets this happen and he grooms the kitty while nursing. I also have a 1 yr old fixed male who just watches and has never tried this when he was a baby with my older cat. I love that they love each other. But is this normal and ok?

Yeah it’s normal and okay. If the male objects he will let the kitten know. You can try to divert the kitten to nuzzling on a piece of fleece or fake fur but It probably won’t work,

It is completely normal, its a way for the kitten to destress. 8 weeks old is really young and honestly its recommend for kittens to stay with mom and littermates until 12 weeks old.

Years ago I had a new kitten that would nurse on my spayed dachshund bitch. Dog was never a mother but had wanted to be. Kitten would nuzzle up, starfish her paws, suckle away while the dog would lie there with such a look of bliss and happiness on her face. It was charming.
