SO... recently i was watering my grass when i heard meowing from the next door neighbors house. Looked and it was a kitten! Stuck under the house! There is a vent in the way (like the one below) And i have been pushing food through the holes and pouring water through there too. And my neighbor is out of town all summer!! Tried calling the animal department and they said you have to consult your neighbor. And by any means do i want to get in trouble by breaking my neighbors vent.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Oh my word! This seems to be an emergency that would warrant a handyman removing the grate to get the kitten out.

Do you know your neighbors much?

How old is the kitten?

Have you checked around the exterior of the house?

I have to wonder if there is another opening where the kitten possibly crawled in? Or where mama kitty got in to have her kittens in the first place.

Thank you for feeding the kitten. Poor thing needs to be rescued.

Please check around the exterior of the house for other possible openings. If you find one, try to call or lure the kitten to it.

Can you get a picture of the kitten through the grate?

Is the kitten eating the food?

Any clue when the neighbors return?

Hooray! Kitty must be relieved. :hyper:

She looks about 8 weeks old. So glad you were able to get her.

Give her name a few days while you check out her personality. She's beautiful! :catrub:

Don't let her outside. Feed her kitten chow and wet food. Did you set up a litter box?

There are no dumb threads!

I also love this happy ending!

She'll need spaying in a couple months. Do you have a low cost spay clinic in town?
