Hi, I just found TCS yesterday while I was doing research on Feline Herpes Virus. What an informative site!
I currently share my home with three adorable cats. Cricket is the oldest at thirteen. He was found at school in a child's backpack just days after my beloved Pantaloons died. He was so small, he fit into a tiny teacup and the vet said he had never seen one so young without it's mother. I adopted him and he grew up to be over 10 lbs.
Cricket's best friend and constant companion was a lover boy called Toby Tyler, a Cymric Cat just like Pantaloons. I was so lucky that Pantaloons found me as a stray and introduced me to this wonderful breed of cat. Toby Tyler (what a clown he was) came into my life shortly after Cricket. Sadly, my wonderful Mr. Toby died last May just a few weeks before his 13th birthday, something we still haven't quite gotten over and don't know if we ever will.
He was beyond special and I miss him each and every day.
But new kitties somehow always have a way of making the passing of one just a little easier. There's nothing like kittens to make you laugh again when you never thought you would.
I recently took in two new little guys, Rufus Reilly and Clancy O'Malley. They were born about three weeks apart and are inseperable. They were born in April and May of this year. Cricket was a little leary of them at first, and it took them a while to get used to their new home, but now after about two months it's all good. Cricket is even playing, grooming and sleeping with them - I think he likes them after all.
My other cats crossed the Rainbow Bridge many years ago. Thai and Truffles will always have a very special spot in my heart and I hope we all meet up again someday.
I posted pictures of my brood on my profile page. Thanks for offering such a supportive site for people who love their cats!
