Hi there,
I joined the site two months ago when I brought home an kitten with ringworm. Having no experience of this I found the Cat Site and read through many of the posts concerning this infection and various advice and treatments, all of which were very helpful. The most helpful actually was the single statement "there is only one way to treat ringworm: aggressively"!!.
Pleased to say our little guy (Darwin: Blue tabby, Oriental, 6 months) got his second negative culture result on Monday and is now an interactive part of the household and no longer locked in our spare room!
We have another fluffy angel 'Echo' (Black DLH, 1y4m), who came from our local Humane Society and who has been living with us four months. We adore her absolutely and can't imagine life without her. She is a tiny lady and is just perfect.
I'll post some pictures (when I work out how).
Thanks to all who posted anything regarding their experiences with ringworm. I'll be reading now about creating harmony in a multicat house as Darwin is hassling the life out of poor Echo! Bless, it's early days so fingers crossed things calm down!
