Did you know that eating chocolate produces the same chemicals (in smaller amounts...) as an orgasm?

Gee, I thought that it was just coincidence, that I need to smoke a cigarette and go to sleep, after eating chocolate!Originally Posted by valanhb

The only reason I am trying to avoid it is because I am trying to lose a few pounds and doing the "low carb" thing.Originally Posted by HopeHacker
Debby, chocolate is GOOD for you as well as tasting good. I wouldn't avoid it, that's for sure. It has some of the same health benefits as tomatoes and those other veggies that are good for your heart, and guess what, dark chocolate is the best for you.
I by the way love chocolate in any form except for white chocolate.
OMG! I KNEW there was a reason I loved Chocolate so much!!! But now I feel rather bad...every time I have lain in bed with a half eaten sack of candy...I have forgotten to cuddle with it afterwards...Originally Posted by valanhb

That is soooo good to know. Instead of getting up early and going for my morning walk, which really does make me feel good. I can stay in bed and eat chocolate!Originally Posted by eneelk
Ever wondered as to what it is about chocolates that makes you feel so good? Chocolate stimulates the secretion of endorphins, producing a pleasurable sensation similar to a ‘runner's highâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji], the high a jogger feels after a long stretch of running. These pleasurable experiences stimulate the body to produce a powerful antibody called secretory immuno globulin A, which strengthens the immune system. Therefore, next time you pop up a chocolate, do not feel guilty. It increases your immunity. An average chocolate bar contains as many as 250 grams of chocolate, and one piece of chocolate contains one- tenth of that. Therefore, it is good to indulge in a piece or two.
