I am DELIGHTED to say that Ajatarah Niles, our silver Mau boy, became a Grand Champion at the GEMS (Global Egyptian Mau Society) show last weekend.

Niles came in needing 110 points, and left with over 20 to spare. He made two AB Best Champions and one AB 2nd Best Champion. He also was the second best Mau in the Championship class in the show
We had 15 maus (all silver!) in the Championship class alone, so the judges really had a fun time with that

I brought along my Bailey to help increase the breed class, and he wound up being the second best Mau in the Premiership class.
Yay Bailey!

All in all, it was quite a productive weekend. Now I can take a little break

Very impressive!! Congrats!

I just purchased my first Mau a week ago. He's for pet only, but I am so totally hooked on the breed now!!

I've received some encouragement to run Niles for a regional.
I'm going to see how he performs at his next show as a grand and decide from there. He likes to spray. . . a lot. . . so we might have to wait for him to be a premier

We'd never get the breed win, though, his number one competition lives in the same region, and that girl is beautiful!
