New Foster Mom | Stinky Kittens

Hi there everyone. I'm a new foster mom, after taking in a feral/stray momma and her 5 kittens. Today they had their first appointment at the Humane Society and on the way home, somekitty pee'd in the crate and all came in contact with the rather smelly urine. I've emailed the foster coordinator, to ask if they are too young for a bath but haven't gotten a response. Is 28 days too young for a kitten sponge bath? I don't intend to wet their heads.

A sponge bath should be fine. I've actually given kittens that young a bath under running water when they were covered with diarrhea.
