I hope I don't have to go through this again. With being a foster you can not turn them away
They get quieter as birth becomes more immanent. They are moving into birthing position, and stop most moving. It's almost as if they know that a monumental struggle is coming and that they need to conserve their strength for that battle.
And next time won't be nearly as scary for you, you know!

I think she may be seeking somewhere private to give birth. That's normal.
Agree. She's seeking a nesting place. Sounds like she's in pain with the crying.

Update! She should have had the kittens , so we are trying to get her into the vet to see if maybe it's a false pregnancy. Head of shelter has requested it

Very sorry to report that we have lost the 2 kittens. One was very large and holding things up. Said she would not have been able to do it on her own.

Thanks so much. We have adopted all 95 kittens that were in the shelter. Momma is doing ok. She's been spayed.
Rest you gentle, Little Furry Souls, dream you deep. Your tiny lives were gone before they even started, but they touched so many hearts!
