New Cat Not Looking To Get Up High?

When I first bought a 2 meters high cat tree for my 4 year old cat Sombra she had only been with me for some 4 weeks and she didn't seem interested in it at all. I had to put some ping pong balls on it to encourage her to climb it. But some 3 weeks later she began to appreciate it and now she loves it. She likes to jump up and down it, sit on it to watch the scenery and the birds through the window and even sleep her afternoon naps on it. She has also develop a liking for climbing the high pieces of furniture around her.

Piper has only been with you 3 weeks PipersMom. Her attitude may well change as she feels more and more at home with her sorroundings.

Thanks! The tree came today and she was mildly interested. I was able to coax her up with some treats and she stayed for a bit looking outside before hopping down. We will see!
