I have seen a variety of new cat foods in stores. When I check out the ingredients I see potato, broccoli, tomatoes, cranberries, strawberries, bananas, garlic, brewers yeast, peas, pumpkin, and blue berries.

Cranberries and pumpkins are good for litterbox reaszons. Garlic is toxic to cats. I don't know what the yeast is for. Blueberries and bananas are useless. There's no shortage of complaints about peas.

What are the new names you have been seeing, and who is selling them?

I know, so many wet foods are getting a bit carried away with the fruits and veggies, in my opinion. Most of them have small amounts, i hope, i guess its good marketing to have all those lovely things on the labels, marketing.

I have not seen strawberries yet.. i love strawberries, for me to eat :)

Brewers yeast is, I believe, a source of B vitamins.

I noticed when I was looking at the ingredients in Fortiflora that brewers yeast is the second ingredient after animal digest. It may be another one of those additives that helps stimulate appetite. That’s just a guess!

Yuck. Animal digest is one of ingredients in cat treats that screams "Don't buy it!"
