My male cat is about a year and a half and he was neutered when he was approximately 3 months. We recently adopted a female who is a year older than him, and she was spayed the day before we got her. I've kept them separate at first, but she was so calm and so was he that everything seemed great. Except he's been trying to mount her, and I don't understand why. They're both fixed. Is it possible that she was in heat when spayed and he is picking up on this?
