Hi,
2 years ago a sweet and friendly black and white Cat became part of the family once we invited him to visit inside
He is fed inside and sleeps with us, however, as much as we tried EVERYTHING, the vets and other cat experts I consulted told me it would be better for all involved if he was allowed outside during the day (he was throwing himself at the windows!, among other things)
So, I can easily take him places, such as the vet and he actually likes car rides (dont ask, he is a peculiar cat)
We love him dearly and he is simply family.
No idea where he goes during the day... but usually stays about 5-10 min away, when I sound a bell he comes in less than 10 minutes 90% of the time.
The problem is, I accepted a position in a different city (same county) and I need to move, I already registered my son in the new city, but have not dared to move yet. I need to, the driving is stressing us all.
But of course I am super worried about our cat, Will he get used to his new outdoor world? Will he try to come back? We met him because my neighbor was feeding him at the parking lot. so it is possible he has been around that area from birth, the staff who fixed him estminated he was 2 1/2 and that was 2 years ago.
I am worried sick, but knowing I need to move...
Help! any insight, advise and recommendations are highly appreciated
