After reading all the posts on how much to feed a 6 month old kitten, I've realized I've been underfeeding my kitten. I was giving him 1 can of wet food in the morning and leaving dry out all day. He, Luna, is extremely active with my 4 year old cat, Kelsey. Luna is starving all the time and Kelsey has put on quite a bit of weight. They do eat each others food. I do separate them in the morning.
I read on a previous site that if your cat hasn't finished his wet food within 20 minutes, you should remove their dish.
My vet also told me to give them dry food for preventing tooth decay. I'm questioning that.
I guess I need to change their eating habits.
