Hello, we are currently speeking with a Sphynx Breeder about adopting a retired Male from her breeding program, he just over 1 years old and he will be altered prior to the adoption. We currently have a 5 month old male sphynx (Monte) that will be altered about one month prior to this adoption.
My question is, what health questions do I need to ask about this retired male prior to adopting and also what tests should I have my vet give this new cat when I get him. I am plan on keeping them seperated when I bring the new cat home, but I have been reading up on UTI and URI and I am a little nervous at the thought of this new cat having any health problems and then getting Monte sick. This breeder is very reputable and does give a health guarantee and I have no reason to think that he is sick or a carrier of any viruses, but I want to be 100% sure that Monte is safe,
Any advice would be appreciated!
