Hi everyone!
I'm currently looking to switch Abby from Wysong Archetype to a different raw pre-mix. I just find Wysong has too many vegetables and grains for my liking. I'm considering Nature's Variety (organic chicken), The Honest Kitchen (Prowl), Natural Balance (chicken), Raw Advantage (turkey) or AFS (Animal Food Services) (carnivore.) Anyone try these or have any opinions on them? Here are the ingredients:
Nature's Variety Prairie Organic Chicken:
Organic Chicken, Organic Ground Chicken Bone, Organic Chicken Liver, Organic Chicken Heart, Organic Chicken Gizzard, Organic Whole Eggs, Organic Bok Choy, Organic Carrots, Organic Apples, Organic Pears, Organic Persimmons, Organic Flaxseed Oil, Montmorillonite, Organic Yogurt, Organic Alfalfa Sprouts, Organic Parsley, Organic Blueberries.
The Honest Kitchen Prowl:
hormone-free chicken, plus eggs, potatoes, yams, flaxseed, zucchini, spinach, honey, cranberries (for urinary tract health) and rosemary.
Natural Balance Chicken:
Chicken, Ground Raw Chicken Bones (Backs, Necks And Thighs), Spinach, Broccoli, Celery, Sweet Potatoes, Whole Ground Flaxseed, Barley Sprouts, Alfalfa Sprouts, Apples, Oranges, Whole Egg, Carrots, Cold-Pressed Salmon Oil, Cranberries, Sun-Dried Kelp, Spirulina, Montmorillonite, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Choline Chloride, Vitamins (Vitamin A Acetate, D-Acetate, D-Activated Animal Sterol, (Source Of Vitamin D-3), Vitamin E Supplement, Niacin, Riboflavin, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Thiamine Mononitrate, Calcium Pantothenate, Folic Acid, Biotin, Vitamin B-12 Supplement), Minerals (Calcium Carbonate, Magnesium Oxide, Ferrous Sulfate Monohydrate, Iron Proteinate, Zinc Oxide, Zinc Proteinate, Manganous Oxide, Manganese Proteinate, Copper Sulfate, Copper Proteinate, Calcium Iodate, Cobalt Carbonate).
Raw Advantage Only Turkey:
Organic turkey and bone, organic turkey gizzard, organic turkey heart, organic turkey liver.
Animal Food Services Carnivore Diet For Cats:
Beef muscle meat, beef by-products (select organ meats only), chicken, finely ground bone, zinc sulfate, manganese sulfate, calcium carbonate, copper sulfate, ferrous sulfate, sodium selenite, calcium iodate, cobalt sulfate, choline chloride, vitamin E (dl-alpha tocopherol acetate), niacin, calcium pantothenate, ascorbic acid, vitamin A supplement, vitamin B12 supplement, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, vitamin D supplement, folic acid, pyridoxine hydrochloride, biotin, menadione sodium bisulfite complex, taurine, ash.
Of course with the Raw Advantage one I would supplement it (salmon oil & multi-vitamin/mineral supplement.) I'm leaning towards this one, but with one do you think is the best? Another question, would I still need to feed a canned food (Wysong's Au Jus) along with this? Or would there be enough moisture in the raw food already? Thank you!
