I am very much accused of using sprays and things for my deodorants and some body washes and shampoos which aren't too kind to the environment. I'm slowly adjusting. As you know i've been changing makeup and things to make sure they are non animal tested products. Now i'm also trying to have more natural products so that my body is more happy in the future and there's less chemicals going down the drain.
My local craft store make a goats milk soap that i've been trying. There's no preservatives or perfumes. My skin hasn't had any bad reaction to it and it doesn't leave my skin dry. I was using body washes with fancy smells that lather up alot, but i know see they don't need to be packaged pretty to work. I also found a new deodorant yesterday. I was using a Rexona spray on as it keeps my underarms dry, but this one is a tea-tree roll on, without aluminium, and my armpits feel cool, which may be even better. It actually smells really good, not like a strong raw tea tree, because as it also has chamomile, nettle, coltsfoot, birch, yarrow, horsetail, rosemary and trefoil in it!
I was wondering if anyone here makes any natural products like lotions/shampoos/makeup etc, or is along the same path as me trying to be kinder the to earth and your bodies?
I also vowed that when we move in 10 weeks, i will be practising my craft again, and mum and i are going to dedicate one of the rooms for soap and cosmetic making!
Anyone here crafty in that area?
