here is brands i feed for my sensitive kittysSo what do I feed them now? I'm so sick of these recalls.
I called my vet, she said just watch them for vomiting and diarrhea, but I'm running out of options that they will eat / that I think is good for them. Swanie has a sensitive stomach, Cindy has issues, I'm just so mad and sad right now,
Oh - and I called the 800 number thinking I would get either a recording with information or an actual person. What I got was, we're closed, call back on Monday. What the heck???
I've not been to petco yet since the recalls i hope i get to go there in april before the 5th if i see pet food missing i'll take pics lolI don't know about Petco but the shelves at Petsmart are looking pretty bare today. Boy...If there is a bright side to any of this it is that the pet food companies are catching this ahead of time before we get to a crisis point.
Thank you for the suggestions. But aren't they all made by Diamond? I don't trust Diamond either. It's gotten to where I don't trust any of them, they're all too big. I feel like I'm back to square one again.here is brands i feed for my sensitive kittys

It is the dry and the wild cravings EVO treats (3oz)It looks like most the food is listed in weights that look like dry. I don't see the words canned for any cat food but some is 3 oz? Maybe treats too? Has anyone else noticed any CANNED cat food on the list? I have a big stock of canned food and I want to check them all. I have a lot of EVO cans.
The list is confusing. I can't tell if it's cans or not. When they have a recall the info should be very clear.
Some of Solid Gold is made by Diamond, and some of it was in that Diamond plant in SC that had the salmonella. Supposedly, they knew about it but waited a month or so to issue a recall.no
Natura variety as far as i know makes its own
petco makes soulistic
dont know who does solid gold
merrick does before grain
triumph i forgot who
and i think chicken soup for the pet lovers soul is by diamond not sure
oh and i also tried canyon creek and i have no idea who makes it
Thanks so much for replying. It is the dry and the wild cravings EVO treats (3oz)

Chicken Soup is made by Diamond.
Brands from the Diamond recall last year:
Solid Gold
Wellness
Natural Balance
Chicken Soup
Taste of the Wild (I was feeding them ToTW at the time, didn't even know they were made by Diamond)
Does Soulistic come in dry? I already feed them the canned, I'll have to check on that.
Nature's Variety I tried before and they wouldn't eat. Maybe try a different flavor
Nestle Purina makes Canyon Creek - they had a recall of dog treats.
I can't see who makes Triumph yet. It says "Triumph Industries," but can't see where it's manufactured.
Tried to stop at the local store tonight, but they were closed for Easter. Not much else is, but they were. Have to try again tomorrow I guess. I don't think they carry anything that isn't Diamond or Natura though.
I found it easier to check by using the browser search function (CTRL + F4). I searched for the UPC barcode. It looks like most the food is listed in weights that look like dry. Thank you so much for that info. I never even heard of the browser search functionI found it easier to check by using the browser search function (CTRL + F4). I searched for the UPC barcode.
When you put in the barcode, you only need to search for the second part of the number, and leave off the number printed in small type at the end. Those are the unique numbers for the specific products. If you find your barcode on the list, you can check the codes (they are printed on the front of the bag, at the top, where you would fold it over to close it).
Unfortunately, one of our bags is on the list. It was a replacement for a bag that was on the first recall list. Yesterday the store told me the recall was expanded and I should check the replacement bag. Sure enough, it's been added to the expanded list. I count us lucky, the kitlets were eating from the replacement bag for a few days and thankfully have not had any bad reaction. Not looking forward to the adjustment period for a new dry food.
