I don't have anything unusual anymore. I used to be a real pack rat with my purse and I would get so frustrated because I couldn't find anything in it. I remember many times dumping everything out in frustration trying to find something. I finally broke the habit. I now don't have much more than my wallet, cell phone and keys.

A tape measure is a good idea. I know when I am going shopping for certain things I bring one along. I should buy a little mini one.

Grocery produce bag twist ties. I grab them and then don't use all of them.

I once found a very tiny rubber band about the size of the end of my little finger. I have no idea how it got there or why.

I've heard that garlic repels not only vampires but also some kinds of insects so perhaps you should keep it in your purse.

There were enough crumbs at the bottom that I definitely needed the benefit of an insect repellant.

A hand fan that folds to the length of a pen. You never know when you'll be stuck somewhere without a/c in the summer. If you take it out of your purse, you won't have it on the first hot day.
