Oh, now you're talkin'!:redheartpump:I LOVE hominy, just as it is or in the form of grits. I could eat grits 3 times a day every day, especially with some greens (preferably collards) on the side.
They're not the same.
Grits
A dish of coarsely ground maize kernels boiled with water or milk.

Hominy
Whole or ground kernels of corn from which the hull and germ have been removed, as by boiling in a solution of water and lye.

I like hominy but grits is too gritty for me.
