I woke up this morning and Lily was squinting her right eye. Every time I tried to look at it, she acted like it was okay so finally I asked my husband to hold her so I could look, and I saw it had been weeping (watery) a little. I tried calling my vet but they are closed today for the holiday.
She had a nap and is still squinty and has a little white goop which I wiped away.
It does not seem to be an emergency (yet) to take her to the animal hospital, which is going to be insanely busy today with the vets all closed today for holiday, and after a 3-day weekend!
Does anybody have advice to help with this, at least until I can get her to our vet? I doubt they will see her tomorrow, even, probably Wednesday at the earliest!
She is an indoor kitty, but our (indoor/outdoor) kitty Sparkle had a spat with her yesterday. That was very unusual and I didn't see it, but my husband said Lily cornered Sparkle and Sparkle lashed out at her. We didn't think there was contact but I don't what else could have caused this.
Any advice is appreciated!
