We rescued Gingerbread at the start of December, he was born around late August or September we think. His coat is confusing- long and wiry in some places like his tummy and bottom area, short on his arms and head and back. The hair between his toes is really long as well, extending far past his beans. He also has 6 toes on each hand paw, making him polydactyl. He has white hairs throughout, but is mostly a gingery orange color. He is a typical orange cat, very active, playful, curious, silly, interested in people and their things, and soooo so extremely sweet. He's so special to us, and we are wondering what a good description of his coat would be, or what kind of cat an expert would call him? Thank you all!

imo he's got some maine coon ancestry somewhere in there. and I think you'll find his fluff really starts to come in between a year and a year and a half. maine coons are known for their polydactyl toes and he has a maine coon face shape. maine coons are a natural breed so they have been part of the moggy population in parts of america for quite some time. guessing he will be big.
