Tasha was described to me by a friend this week as 'the gentlest, sweetest dog I ever met', and I could not put it better. From a puppy she loved people and other animals, and became a loved and loving friend to me and to the cats, especially to Bonaparte, her constant companion. It is so cruel that she was taken from us so young, only 2 years old, through a series of mistakes and misdiagnosis, the victim of a nasty disease that is treatable if caught early enough. I am a cat person, and had never had a dog before, and we learnt a lot from each other. I certainly learnt to appreciate her 'doggy' ways and I swear that sometimes she tried to be a cat! I will miss her so much - there is a great big hole in the house that can never be filled. I love you, my Tasha.
