She's probably just excited to eat. My Maine coon likes to personally scoop out some food from the container I put her food in to her bowl. At first I was like what the heck is she doing but now its her thing and she pouts and won't eat from the bowl if I don't hold the container over the food bowl long enough for her to do it. Lol hope this helps
