My cats breed?

Hello I had this fluff ball for about 2 years, he is a wonderful cat. When I first got him as a stray his fur was so mattered down we thought he was a short hair. He is the complete opposite though lol.

This picture is pretty recent and it's winter currently so he is showing off his winter coat.

And here is a picture of him in the summer and you can some of his markings a bit easier. It would be awesome if any of you knew what his breed is.

He is a domestic longhair.  But he is also a decent alike to a Maine Coon.  If he is biggish, he may even BE a Maine Coon...

I at first thought that he could be a Maine coon but since he was a stray when we got him we don't know his age and if he is going to grow a little bit more, he is a bit smaller then my other cats. Thank you for the reply and happy holidays!
