I've had my cat (crossbow) for 10+ years, but recently he has been violently scratching his ear. I checked on another website and realized that we haven't until recently been grooming my pets ears like we're supposed to. My mom doesn't want to waste money on the vet, but I figured I could do something in the mean time until I get paid. But I don't know what to do, my mom wraps up his head in band aid wraps, but I fear he's going to rip his ear off. My second cat (sparkles) has also been scratching her ears but she doesn't have sharp nails. Crossbow has a BIG wound on the back side of his ear, he has welts and he REALLY scratches his ear. We have to run and grab his foot to stop him but by that point he's already bleeding. Please help! I can't bear to see him continue. It's heartbreaking, I don't want it to continue to the point of him having to be put to sleep. I have until Thursday before he see a vet, anything will help. Please.
