If she has been actively pushing for over 30 minutes without a birth it is a medical emergency and she needs to get to a vet immediately.

It sure sounds like she's in labor and having kittens! How's she doing?

If she's in stage one labor it can last quite a few hours - up to 24. She sounds like she's having some contractions. Just keep checking on her and offer comfort. Let us know if you have more questions, or when kittens arrive!

She may not actually be pushing but having contractions.

A little tip on how to know when they are actually pushing is, their whiskers push forward, like away from their cheeks.

How many litters is she going to have btw?! Get her butt spayed already!

With stillborne, whom otherwise look healthy, it may sometimes save them by massaging and warming up vigorously.  Use pehraps a towel and rub on...  Also warming up simultaneously.

Sometimes they perk up

Congratulations on the babies!

Mom can get pregnant again within a week of delivery, so she must stay 100% inside and away from intact males until she is spayed. Mom and kittens can all be spayed when kittens are 8 weeks old.

Since you're a vet tech it should be easy to get your cat in to be spayed in about 6 weeks. In the meantime, she should not go outside at all or be in contact with non-neutered males. She can get pregnant again very soon. What have you been doing with the kittens from her previous litters?

Are the new kittens latched and nursing well? Feed mom lots of wet food and water, and kitten chow available 24/7. Let us know if you have more questions.
