Took my newest baby to get spayed last Friday at a low cost litter control center and it turns out she was only born with her right kidney and right horn/ovary. The vet performing the surgery said to let her regular vet know (don't have one yet since we just rescued her about a month ago) and it shouldn't cause any problems while she's young but may when she's older. Has anyone ever had experience with raising a cat with this condition? We want to make sure she has the best and longest life possible! It also got me thinking if revolution flea treatment is safe for her. I didn't think to ask at the time but I was thinking and the first time and only time we've given it to her she got sick and now I'm wondering if it's because she only has one kidney. I know revolution is strong and it's about time for another treatment but I don't think I'll be able to get her a check up before then.
