Hi Everyone On Saturday I got a kitty, 2 and a half month old, she seems ok but later when she run I noticed she was limping from 1 of her back legs, but because they brought the kitty at 4 and the kitty decide to explore at 6 I couldn't take her at that hour because my vet told me that he will attend till 6 that day (just in case I call the vet before they brought the cat) . So because she seems super happy and only when running that happened I thought: ok tomorrow morning a good check up. The thing is I took her to the vet and he told me that she had a broken hip and that the left side was already healed but the right side hasn't (so they brought me a unhealthy cat how horrible of them). The vet told me that because it was the hip it didn't need surgery it will heal itself if I put her on a crate for a month (my feelings were noooooooo poor cat!!!) So now I have her on a crate and take her out for her sandbox and feeding times. I sleep with her (take her out of the box and we sleep together). But the thing is she wants to go out all the time and walk (thankfully she is not yet the jumping and running type or she could hurt herself more). Finally my question is if I put her in an empty room with only her sandbox and food could I take her from her crate for a bit just so she can walk around and stretch her legs or just walking will make it heal horribly because as I said only the right side hasn't heal yet and when she walks she seems ok. I just want her to be happy and don't have stress for being in a cage all day for a month . Please help!
