Oh - I'm so glad you got her into the vet, poor baby! She sounds sooooo sweet!
The vet pulled out the microchip gun thing first thing, so that was done. And there was no chip. I've posted an add on pets911 now. Wow, looks like a really great site. I like the fact it loads quickly for my dialup. petfinder always takes so long.Did you remember to ask them to check for a microchip?
Also, if you want to search for rescue groups in your area, http://www.pets911.com is an excellent place to start. ....though.... I have a feeling you may have a sixth kitty now if no one calls to thank you for rescuing her!
OH! I don't know where in your home you kept her, but it might be a really good idea to grab some flea collars from the supermarket, cut them up and put them in your vacuum cleaner bag or canister and give a really thorough vacuum. The collars can kill cats - but they're also great at killing fleas and eggs that may now be on your floor or carpet.
What are you going to call her?
Laurie

She is the sweetest thing. She was even good at the vets. None of my cats are good at the vets. My brother said she was even good about his two year old looming over her. Just adores attention. I just need to get everyone used to her, so we will have no cat fights. This is great vet news! Its so difficult to believe she is that old - she's so small! She sure has a lot of love though, even with all she must have been through in her life. Looks like you may have another family member - just in time for Christmas
Awwwww! He has a sweet face and, I guess, a disposition to match!Originally Posted by Jeamy

In the spring he creates a little zoo; they live near the woods and a stream, and he goes and collects bugs, frogs, little water insects things... Puts them in buckets to show off to everyone, then lets them go again before nightfall so they won't die. He was going to be a veterinarian when he grew up, until he discovered Steve Irwin. Now he wants to run a zoo.
