I used to have a male cat named Zimba 6 years ago that got lost on a 4th of july. I never really got over that very well. Still miss him.
We fostered a 5 year old girl named Princess from a organization that was at a petsmart.
They told us she had bad owners that abused her and did not take good care of here and they wanted to put her to sleep because they didn't want her anymore.
They nice lady that took her in for a year told us that her other cats did not get along with her so they had to separate her from them and she lived her life in the bathroom so the other cats would not bother her.
Well we ended making her our furever baby after a week of having her company. She was never really very lovable to us unless it was eating time then she would rub up against our legs as we prepared her dish.
As time went by we cherished her company and coming home to her never got old.
Recently she has slowly stopped eating less and less.
We took her to the vet on Sept 8 and she was 6.3 lbs. They took blood and the vet said her gums were very pale. Also did a ultrasound and that her liver was a little bigger then normal.
The next day they called back and said her blood came back with a lot of problems. So we went back and they told us that it might be FIP he wanted to keep her overnight and give her IV fluids and forcefeed her some food.
When we came back to get her that was the first time she gave us headbutts and was happy to see us.
Since then I took over syringe feeding her every 3-4 hours. Eats a little more then a can of A/d a day but has not gained weight.
She has autoimmune hemolytic anemia. Her red blood cells a very low.
She lays all day.
The vet put her on antibiotics, immune suppression drugs and nausea medication.
Lately her walk has been very drunk and yesterday she didn't make it to her litter box because she had a hard time getting her hind leg all the way in the box.
Well its late and I have to wake up at 5:50 to fed her and give meds.
I will post updates.
I just need some emotional support its so hard for me I cant stand to see her like this.
Here she is sleeping next to me as I type this
