What are you asking for help with? Does mom seem ok at this point?

It's not normal.

Can you keep her inside and have her spayed? It's a shame for her to keep going through that.

Spaying Diane will help her health so much. Not only will she not become pregnant again, but you won't have to worry about pyometra or mammary gland tumors. Fixing a cat also reduces aggression and spraying.

Well I try to keep her inside. But she will get out somehow and will get pregnant again before I can have her spayed. I'm not exactly sure what kind of site this is but it's a given that it's not normal obviously I'm not a completely dumb just wasn't sure if anyone else has seen this with their cat. Please if you haven't had this with your cat. Don't respond with obvious statements. I know it's not normal. Thanks

I know this spaying her is the best thing for her she is only 3 years old and has only had one successful litter I figured with her being three years old that was pretty young so be okay for her to have another litter this time she got out before I head planned on taking her to get her spayed. Thanks for stating the obvious

Hi Jennifer, I am SO SO SO SO so sorry to hear that. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

I'm no expert, so hope someone who is comes to help you more soon - I'd get her checked up ASAP with your vet, I know that's such an obvious thing to say - you should do it both as an emergency to make sure there isn't anything that should've come out, stuck inside her still - and also for her ongoing health -

our cat is pregnant with her first litter and there is a great site the vet told us about International Cat Care | Passionate about cats - they have lots of useful articles about potential birth issues, for breeders and more curious owners - i found it really useful reading it, the 'worst case' - which hopefully will never happen - you might be able to match something up with something they have written which might help you :-)

...as well as all the wonderful experts on here.

Sending you positive energy and big love, if money is an issue then spaying her is long term the cheapest option, if you don't want to do this, if she gets pregnant again if you can afford it depending what your local vet charges, I would get an ultrasound done, that way you can see how the developing kittens are.

Our cat is pregnant and we just did and it was reassuring the vet could see the kittens organs, their hearts beating, etc and told us how developed they were as we weren't exactly sure of the date of conception - she said they didn't have lungs yet but were just about to develop them and were on the cusp of being OK if they came prematurely - imagine if you could've known this a few weeks ago - or not - maybe this could've been avoided - at least a vet could help you try to deduce why this has happened and make sure momma cat is Ok first and then advise you best going forwards for the best health of all concerned. :redheartpump:

I'd also say, but please wait for an expert to give better advice than me - make sure your cat doesn't have litters / get pregnant too close together as it takes such a huge toll on her body, that could possibly be a reason - you didn't say when the last 2 pregnancies were - maybe get some blood tests done to make sure she doesn't have some infection or has picked one up from whichever cat(s) she is mating with? as if she does have this this should be able to be dealt with - at least it woudl give you peace of mind a bit? xxx

Really hope you can get to the bottom of this and momma cat is OKxx

None of us are vets, and most of us only have spayed cats, and this seems like it's probably a rare occurrence, so it's unlikely that anyone here will have had this happen. I think asking a vet who has a lot of reproductive experience would be best, if you're really curious. Personally I'd just assume something isn't right inside her and have her spayed, I'm not sure I'd even pursue a diagnosis. But if you want that diagnosis, a repro specialist vet is your best bet.

I really appreciate it I'm a single mom of two young kids I'm waiting on disability and this cat is like our baby so like you said money is an issue so there's no way I can take her to a vet and have an ultrasound and all that good stuff so hopefully she'll be okay thanks

Hey Jennifer if you are in the US, there are lots of people on here if you tell them where you live they can advise you on the most local no kill shelter / humane society / animal rescue place - somewhere where you should be able to get her seen by a vet cheaply. Not sure how it works in the US but here in the UK we have the RSPCA and Blue Cross 2 charities who see animals for people recieving government benefits / on low incomes either free or very cheaply - hopefully someone US based can advise you on this - just because she was Ok the first time she delivered the empty sacs doesn't mean the exact same thing has happened this 3rd time. It might be exactly the same reason, it might not - but surely worth a vet visit if you possibly can. At least try to call around and explain the situation, or maybe there are some more technical cat forums with actual vets on who can help more?? xxx
