Lola has been back from the hospital for a couple of weeks and we are trying to manage her CKD/stone together. She is on Hills k/d wet and dry and now hydracare. I give her tiki cat stix as treats. She takes her amitriptyline every morning, uses the litter box, etc.
She seems to be struggling to chew still, wet or dry. She has an ulcer and I’m afraid it’s bothering her. She’s no longer on the buprenorphine (pain med). Sometimes her little meow is hoarse. Her auto feeder will go off with dry food and she will jump up to go eat, then stop. When she does eat it, she eats it awkwardly.
She is a very spicy kitty so she won’t let me get into her mouth. she has a follow up vet appointment Tuesday, but wondering if any of you have any tips or tricks about mouth ulcers in particular.
