I agree, LOVE the Siamese and their personalities! There is no such thing as an absolute favorite around here, I love them all!

Too bad the Brazilian Shorthair isn't recognized by the CFA

The CFA bases the list on the number of registrations they receive, so evidently the Siamese isn't being registered as often.

true, but what I meant was that the CFA doesn't recognise the Brazilian Shorthair as a breed, as it does for the American and British Shorthair breeds :disappointed:

Recognition can be applied for. There are many steps to the process and you need more than one breeder involved but it can be done. The Bengal and the straight eared Scottish folds have both been recognized in the last few years as well as blue silver and blue golden Persians. It isn't easy to do, but it is possible.
