Mollipop came home from the hospital wearing a collar. I've not had much experience with these collars....Hydrox wore one years ago, but he was 19 at the time and wasn't very active. Mollipop isn't quite six months and she's quite an active little girl, even with the collar. She has to wear it until her stitches are taken out in about 2 weeks.
I'm scared to death that she's going to get caught, trying to jump up on something. Or that she's going to bang into something; she's having trouble judging width and is banging into walls at corners and such. I'm trying to keep an eye on her, but the collar hasn't stopped her from going up and down the stairs, although it's more difficult for her to come back up. And she was already playing with her little pink mousie; it got under the hutch in the kitchen and we had to fish it out for her. She's eaten some dry food....when I give her canned later on, I'll take her collar off until she's done eating and washing. But then I'll put it back on.
Can anybody give me some advice on how to handle a spayed kitten with a collar? I'm very nervous and I don't want anything to happen to her. I have off work tomorrow, but then I have to work the rest of the week and all of next week, too. I guess I'm just new at this; our other girls didn't have to wear collars. I'm going to be so worried about her.
Thanks for any advice!
